Getting Started
Include everything from your child’s first drawing to your child’s award winning high school mural; from saved photos to box constructions, championship trophies…and more! We work with materials of all shapes and sizes.
Yes, if you’d like your materials returned, there is a return shipping fee.
If you have sent some smaller items that you would like returned, (e.g class photos etc.) we can tuck them inside the book on delivery at no charge.
We work with materials of all shapes and sizes. The ArtBox Shipping Kit is A3 in dimension. If you have any items larger than A3, we suggest rolling (not folding) them.
The ArtBoxt Shipping Kit is 485x327x96mm (A3) in dimention. We suggest rolling (not folding) larger pieces.
Yes, you are welcome to send materials for more than one book in our ArtBox Shipping Kit.
PLEASE make sure the materials for each book are bagged separately and clearly labelled. And please note on your Submission Form (found in your box) that you are sending materials for more than one order.

PRINTED: Feel free to mail us printed photos in your shipping kit with your other materials.
PRICE: Photos are priced per piece, just like each item included in your book.
Our books contain a minimum of 20 pages. Larger books are available as per our pricing page.
We generally design for around 30 pieces of art per 20 page book. (1.5 pieces per page on average)
If you would like your pieces in a particular order, please number them lightly in pencil on the back of each piece.
Shipping
Customers should receive their shipping kit in 2-4 business days once the deposit has been paid.
You will have your ArtBox Photobook approximately four to six weeks after your materials arrive in our studios.
All shipping costs for books are included in the book pricing. If you’d like your materials returned after your book is completed, there is an additional return upon request.
You can send back your kit whenever you are ready.
You can fill it immediately, or fill it throughout the year as your artwork comes in.

Our Shipping Kit delivers all of your shipping needs to your doorstep. You’ll receive a box 485x327x96mm (A3) for mailing a significant amount of material, an Art Submission Form, and a prepaid shipping label.
Once Filled, secure your box, then drop it at any PostNet location. If there is no PostNet service in your area, we will need to liaise with you to arrange a more suitable courier.

Unfortunately, there is a penalty per wrong address for the cost of the courier. Please be extra careful when entering your shipping address.
For each shipping box that is sent out with an incorrect address, the charge will be added to your final invoice.
If the mistake is due to an ArtBox or courier error, you will not be charged.
Book Orders
Typical turnaround time is about three to four weeks after your materials arrive in our studios. We do advise that the process could take anywhere from four to six weeks however.
RUSH options, of approximately two weeks, are available.

Yes! Our shipping boxes are large enough to accommodate multiple orders. Our ArtBox is 485x327x96mm. You are welcome to put materials for more than one book in the box.
Please be sure the materials for each book are bagged separately and clearly labelled.
If you would like your pieces to appear in a specific order in your book, you MUST clearly number the BACK of each piece lightly in pencil.
No, not every piece gets its own page.
We typically work with a 3:2 ratio whereby we place 3 pieces of artwork on every 2 pages.
If you would like strictly one piece of artwork per page, please email info@artboxza.com to let us know.
Yes! Section titles, chapters and/or captions can be added to your book.

Artwork containing handprints and footprints may not be actual size in the book.
If you would like these to be actual size, please include a note on your submission form and on the piece of artwork.
Please note, depending on the piece, it may affect the ability to fit the entire artwork on the page.
Proofing Your Book
You can make up to five minor changes on the proof that we send you. Examples of minor changes include a background colour switch or increasing the size of a particular image.
Additional changes charge:
6-10 changes: R50
11-20 changes: R100
21-30 changes: R200
31-40 changes: R300
and so on…
Payment of original invoice AND payment for additional changes is required BEFORE changes are made.
Yes.
The inclusion of one high-resolution photograph for the opening page of your book (page 3) is included in the cost of your book. You will be prompted to upload the photo after we receive your materials (if you didn’t provide it in your box).
MULTIPLE PHOTOS: If you would like to add digital photos to your book, they will be counted like pieces of artwork. You can email up to 5 photos to info@artboxza.com . For 5 or more photos, we will supply you with a Dropbox folder where you can add your photos.

Every piece that you send will be included in your price.
Removing pieces from your book, after you view your proof, will not change your price.
If you include a booklet or card, each page/side counts as an individual piece.
Your Deposit will ensure your ArtBox gets delivered to your door and we will await it’s return with anticipation!
Your deposit goes toward the payment of your final invoice. When you receive your invoice, your deposit will be subtracted from your final total amount due.
Extensive love and care goes into creating each ArtBox Photobook! We professionally digitize all your precious memories in our studio via high-end photography. We edit each photo by hand to make sure the digital reproduction looks just like the original. Our graphic design team custom creates each book layout. Our customer service team then works with each customer to make sure that the final book proof is perfect before it’s printed. Lastly, all shipping (except for artwork return) is included in book pricing.
All shipping costs for books are included in the book pricing. If you’d like your materials returned after your book is completed, there is a return fee available upon request.
Every piece is counted separately. If there is writing/a drawing on the front and back of a page, that counts as two pieces. If you only want one side, please write “Not This Side” on the side you don’t want included in your book. If you send a booklet or greeting card, each page/side counts as an individual piece of artwork. Every piece that you send will be included in your price. Removing pieces from your book, after you view your proof, will not change your price.

Yes, if you’d like to place an order for more than 5 copies of a book, (for instance, books for an entire class) please email us at info@artboxza.com to discuss pricing.
Much of the cost of your book comes from our custom digitizing and design process, so unfortunately, we cannot reduce the price by removing book pages. The custom work is already complete.
A great deal of dedicated time and effort goes into designing your Plum Print books. We require payment once this work is completed. Additional changes to your book proofs requires additional dedicated time and effort on the part of our graphic designers. Payment for additional changes is required BEFORE a designer goes in and completes your changes.
Other
There are two ways to order duplicates: When you send in your artwork,

after your original book is complete.
When you send your artwork in, mark how many copies of the book you would like on the Art Submission Form found in your box.
After your original book is complete, you may order duplicates by letting us know when you approve your proof.
Please note that duplicates ordered after the original order has been sent will be charged shipping.
We use sophisticated photography and lighting equipment, as well as lightboxes, to capture the perfect image of your materials.
We use photoshop to edit your items to bring out the best of each piece, as well as take steps to eliminate errant blemishes, scratches or tears that were not part of the original piece in post editing whenever possible.
We prefer you send in your materials so our professional digitizing studio can capture the best possible digital reproduction of your artwork. If you have some pieces that you’d prefer not to send, please photograph them in bright, even light, at the highest resolution possible.

All sales are final. There are no replacements or changes once you APPROVE your proof. The only exception is items arriving defective or damaged. If an item has arrived damaged, please take photographs of both the packaging and product, and email us right away so we can arrange collection of the item and replace it.
You have 24hrs after placing your order to cancel a deposit. Please CALL us at 0825549434 during business hours (8:30am-5:30pm) or email us at info@artboxza.com after hours. After the 24hr window, there are no refunds issued.
A digital gallery is a perfect option if you want to declutter and save the artwork today, but aren’t ready to order a book yet, or ever.
Plum Print creates professional digital reproductions of each piece you send to us and provides you with a Dropbox link to download the high-resolution digital files.
